In April 2019, the Afghan Peace Builders Humanitarian Organization (APBHO) came into being as an NGO. Its youth council has been fighting for the rights of communities impacted by war and humanitarian crises in fragile areas for quite some time. The organization is non-governmental, non-political, and not-for-profit.
At the grassroots level, APBHO primarily works on environmental peace-building and community-based conflict resolution. The mission of APBHO is to empower individuals to peacefully settle disagreements and challenges of any kind and to challenge oppressive gender conventions.

Job description:
To instruct students in both classic and contemporary stitching methods, we need a dedicated and knowledgeable stitching trainer. To prepare students for self-employment or provincial work options, the trainer must provide them with practical, hands-on instruction.
Jobs’ main responsibilities:
The following embroidery techniques may be covered in intriguing and hands-on training sessions:
- Stitches created by hand, such as zardozi, chikankari, kantha, salma dozi, mirror work, satin stitch, and chain thread
- Needlework (beginner to expert)
- Design tracing, color theory, and embroidery hoops
We should teach methods of design transfer, material selection, and contemporary approaches. - Give instructions on how to organize your time and ensure high-quality embroidery.
- Encourage and facilitate the growth of students’ imaginations and abilities.
- Assess the progress of the learner and provide constructive criticism.
- Maintain logs detailing each student’s training results, progress, and attendance.
- Make sure the training space is clean and safe, and keep the embroidery equipment in good working order.
Job requirement:
- Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) with hand and machine embroidery.
- Excellent knowledge of classic needlework styles and contemporary market trends.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Experience working with women, youth, or community-based projects is advantageous.
- Patience, inventiveness, and a love for teaching.
- Basic reading and the ability to keep rudimentary training records.
Desired skills:
- Proficient in developing commercially viable embroidered items.
- Capability to instruct pupils in beginning their own small enterprises or cooperatives
- Acquaintance with tailoring and clothing design (optional)
- Familiarity with vocational training frameworks is advantageous.
Language skills
- Pashto Native, The candidate must be a native Dari speaker and fluent in English for professional employment.
Education required:
- We prefer candidates with a 12th-grade graduate or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
