Financial Benefits of Honjo Scholarship in Japan

- The scholarship offers a monthly allowance based on the length of the program:
- ¥230,000 per month for a duration of 1 to 2 years
- ¥210,000 per month for three years
- ¥180,000 per month for 4 to 5 years
- The scholarships also provide funding for participation in an international conference.

Eligibility Requirements for Honjo International Scholarship
- The scholarship is available to all international students except for Japanese citizens.
- Applicants need to be presently registered in or seeking admission to a graduate program in Japan beginning in April 2026.
- Applicants for the master’s program must be younger than 30 years old.
- Candidates applying for doctoral programs must be younger than 35 years old.
- to qualify for this scholarship, the duration of study must exceed 12 months.
- Applicants should possess fundamental Japanese communication skills.
- Candidates cannot simultaneously receive other scholarships, with the exception of: MEXT Scholarship, Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship, and JSPS Fellowship.
