Job responsibilities:

  • Attending and actively participating in training on data gathering processes and measures ensures dependability.
  • Participation in pre-training and post-training exams; clearing the post-training evaluation criteria is required.
  • Data from chosen HH in specified clusters will be collected in line with recognized processes.
    Locating the compounds chosen for home surveys.
  • Ensure that all interviewees have completed their permission papers.
    Filling out the Household Questionnaire for the chosen household residing in that complex.
    Identify all eligible women in the chosen household.
  • The Female and Child Health Questionnaire should be administered to all eligible women and main caregivers for children under the age of five in the chosen home.
  • Check completed interviews to ensure that all questions and replies were answered and documented neatly and legibly.
  • Identify the deaths of children and women in the surveyed family and notify the supervisor that these families should be identified for future verbal autopsy interviews.
  • Performs additional data gathering tasks as given by the field managers/office.
  • Review all acquired data on a daily basis (on the spot) for errors or missing information, and return to the home for correction/clarification as required to guarantee excellent data quality.
  • Communicating with Field Managers on a frequent basis to keep them up to speed on the progress of field work and any difficulties that may arise.
  • Submit all completed data collecting forms (or scanned versions) and tablets/smartphones to the office after final inspection, if applicable.
  • Keeping the equipment secure and the data secret.
  • Maintaining stocks of data collecting materials and promptly conveying the need for more supplies to Field Managers.
  • Promotes Particip GmbH’s vision, purpose, and strategic objectives while adhering to its values and ethical standards, as well as the Ministry of Public Health’s.
  • Demonstrates cultural, gender, religious, ethnicity, nationality, and age sensitivity and flexibility.

Job requirement for Field Monitor/Data Collector:

  • Certificate in health or social sciences at the university level or in 14th grade.
  • Experience in previous AHS surveys is a benefit.
  • At least one year of experience working on various surveys such as AHS, DHS, MICS, SMART, LQAS, HMIS verification, and BSC/Covid-19 surveys.
  • According to Islamic Sharia law, Mahram couples must exist.
  • Residents of the province are preferable.
  • Experience with electronic data collecting is beneficial.
  • Excellent written and spoken Dari and Pashto.
  • Having effective communication skills.
  • The ability to travel around the province to visit houses is essential.
  • Candidates for higher positions (supervisors and monitors) will be chosen based on evaluation and post-test results.
