The Ministry of Finance has a specific role to play in providing services to the Afghan people, which is to collect revenue and manage government finances. Proper management of expenditures and mobilization of more revenues for financial stability are also among the main priorities of this ministry.
The Minister of Finance is responsible for controlling and managing the finances and other legal powers delegated to him by Parliament. The Minister of Finance is responsible for managing, supervising, controlling and enduring all matters related to the financial affairs of Afghanistan, and he personally implements them in accordance with the Law on Financial Administration and Public Expenditure. The duties of the Ministry of Finance include the following:
– Creation of financial systems, accounting and payment procedures
Implementing the allocation of budget funds for government expenditures, ensuring its accurate and correct calculation
– Arranging final accounts for each financial year according to the law of financial administration and public expenditure
