About Conflict Mitigation Assistance for Civilians (COMAC) Company:

Blumont Global Development, Inc.’s Conflict Mitigation Assistance for Civilians (COMAC) project offers complete victims’ assistance (VA) to Afghan families impacted by the conflict. COMAC is intended to function throughout Afghanistan’s 34 provinces. Along with offering VA services, COMAC also develops the skills of its employees and community volunteers to make VA service delivery easier, engages in outreach, and gives Afghan civil society organizations (CSOs) the tools they need to inform the Afghan public and their beneficiaries about the availability and need for VA services.

Summary of the Job:

The community volunteer would be expected to work closely with impacted neighborhoods and houses headed by women, people with disabilities, and senior citizens as needed. The community volunteer will primarily support COMAC Activity Manager/Community Mobilizer (AM/CM) in the process of delivering assistance door-to-door and will also gather and ensure the necessary paperwork and signatures from the impacted families and communities. The Community Volunteer will answer directly to the Activity Manager in this capacity.

The following actions are only a few of the important obligations and duties.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

  • Directly coordinates with AM/CM to supervise the door-to-door delivery of aid to qualified households in urban and rural regions. This might involve coordinating with the qualified beneficiaries and enabling communication with the COMAC-required professionals.
  • Help COMAC personnel determine if victims qualify for COMAC support.
  • At the time of aid distribution, beneficiary signatures are obtained on the necessary paperwork (GRN).
  • When giving IA/TA items or help to the qualified beneficiaries, take pictures.
  • Keeps positive connections with beneficiaries and interacts with community elders for improved coordination and locating of the victims of an occurrence that has been validated.
  • Help the CM with community outreach initiatives and the distribution of COMAC and COVID-19 IEC materials.

Job requirement:

  • the applicants should have at least a high school diploma.
  • 3 years of experience distributing HA aid or raising awareness via community-level involvement initiatives.
  • strong written and vocal communication abilities.
  • English language proficiency is preferable, but Pashto and Dari language proficiency is required.
  • the ability to perform any essential operations with a smartphone or digital camera, including capturing images.
  • talents in time management and prioritizing.
  • capacity to establish connections with community elders and recipients.
  • Travel prerequisites:
  • More than 90% of the projected travel for this employment will be too isolated rural locations.
  • After participation, the community volunteers will get USD 10 per day; if not, they will be in contact.
