china ANSO Scholarship Program.

About The Alliance for Networking Science Organizations (ANSO):

The Alliance for Networking Science Organizations (ANSO) was established in 2018 as a global, non-profit, non-governmental organization. Thirty-seven academic institutions, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations from throughout the globe made up the first membership. ANSO’s mission is to foster more S&T collaboration and communication in order to enhance regional and global scientific capabilities, human livelihoods, and well-being.

To help teach and nurture the next generation of scientists from all around the globe, ANSO officially introduced the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents in 2019. 200 Master’s and 300 PhD students per year receive funding from the ANSO Scholarship to complete their graduate studies at either the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), or one of the many CAS institutions located around China.

The ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship, a subset of the ANSO Scholarship, will be formally introduced in 2022. In line with the focus of TWAS/UNESCO, the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and women will be given particular (but not exclusive) attention. TWAS/UNESCO will annually choose up to fifty doctoral candidates from underdeveloped countries.

CAS, the most prominent founding member of ANSO, provides primary funding for the ANSO Scholarship. As founding members of ANSO, TWAS and UNESCO contribute funds to the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship program. ANSO invites members and parties interested in building a more varied scholarship program together.
