About The Asian Development Bank Scholarship:
The Asian Development Bank Scholarship for Thailand’s AIT students in the academic years 2024–25 is now accepting applications. The Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand is offering a scholarship. Scholarships from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) are available to international students who want to pursue master’s degrees. Among the 140 annual scholarships offered by the Asian Development Scholarship and the ADB Scholarship, which come from the Japanese government, are those about development-related fields such as economics, management, science, and technology.
Foreign students from all around the globe may take advantage of the ADB scholarship to study in Thailand for free. The duration of the ADB Scholarships ranges from one to two years. Scholarships for Master’s, Master of Science, and MBA programs have a maximum duration of two years.

Benefits of the Scholarship:

- A set amount that each DI and ADB may agree upon that includes housing allowance as part of the Subsistence Allowance.
- Insurance for students’ health and accidents (flat rate).
Financial records (a certain sum must be mutually agreed upon by each DI and ADB). - Air travel in economy class on the shortest possible route between the awardee’s home country and the DI (real expenses).
- Airport taxes, immigration fees, baggage allowance, and other miscellaneous travel expenditures are included in the fixed rate.
- On the way back to your home country, you may pay for any extra baggage up to 20 kilograms (real expenses).
- Students may utilize their Thesis/Research Allowance to pay for things like photocopying, school supplies, typing and computer fees, mailing, communications, binding, local transport, and lodging for out-of-town travels. (an equal payment).
- It is assumed that scholars would possess enough language and computer abilities to carry out their study program. But if there are exceptional circumstances when further education is required, the scholarship could pay for things like language classes and computer classes (real expenses).
- A few things that the ADB-JSP won’t pay for include things like the scholar’s family’s expenses, extracurricular activities, training, travel costs, and any costs associated with supplemental educational materials, field trips, workshops, seminars, internships, or the purchase of educational equipment like computers.
Scholarship documents requirement:
- Copies of the final diploma and all four years of the undergraduate transcript are required.
- Two Sets of Letter of recommendation.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 213 (computer-based) or 80 (TOEFL), or IELTS score of 6 (writing and overall), or its equivalent.
- Documentation from the company proving employment.
- Statement of income. The ADB-JSP Information sheet requests a parent’s income statement if the applicant is not married, or a spouse’s statement if the applicant is married.
Scholarship eligibility:
- To be eligible for the ADB-JSP Scholarship, you must be a citizen of a country that is a borrower from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
- A high school diploma or its equivalent with an excellent academic record is required.
When applying, you must have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time professional job experience, preferably gained after graduating from college. - The ability to communicate well in English, both orally and in writing, is essential for academic success.
- The applicant must be no older than 35 years old. Programs suitable for senior officials and managers may have an age restriction of 45 in unusual instances.
- Feeling well.
- Participant must commit to returning to their home county upon completion of the Program-sponsored study.
- You cannot apply for the Scholarship if you are an Executive Director, Alternate Director, employee, consultant, or related of an ADB employee, manager, or staff member.
- The Scholarship is not open to AIT employees.
- The scholarships are not open to applicants whose primary residence or place of employment is located outside of their native country.
- Candidates currently enrolled in graduate degree programs are not eligible for ADB-JSP financing.
- Thesis writing, short-term training, conferences, seminars, or undergraduate courses are not sponsored by ADB-JSP.
